Lion King Moment

So finally the word is out! The Yuvraaj has been finally given the top job. Has anyone looked at the news recently? The freak show looks something like the Lion King moment!

My only question to this whole scenario is, what's Rahul 'Jahangir' Gandhi's qualification for the top job? Except that he's born as 'Gandhi'. His track record shows him as a huge failure. Wherever he's gone for election campaign, Congress party has lost badly. He has not taken part in even one single debate inside the parliament. His freak show has been tearing off an election manifesto in front of a crowd. By the way that can be considered as 'Angry Young Man' moment :)

Anyways, time will tell what's gonna happen in 2014 elections. Media is already pitting him against Narender Modi, which means he has already lost the battle.

India's mute response to barbarism

So I'm completely out of words as i read the news going around us. In an act of cowardliness, Pakistan army crosses indian border and killed 2 indian army soldiers. Killing each others men has been a norm around Kashmir border since last 65 years, but what differs this time is that as a bounty they decapitate one of the soldier and took his head away. As far as reports go, the head of a terrorist organization announced an award of 5 million rupees for whoever gets the head. So now our neighbor has come to barbarism!

This whole issue has made me thinking on terms that what should be india's response to this? One way is to give army a free hand, but for that we need political will. And as far as the current indian govt. goes, no one has the balls to do that. So thinking rationally, i guess i can suggest a couple of solutions -

  • Calling our diplomatic staff back and kicking paki diplomatic staff out of India.
  • Cut of all trade links with Pakistan.
  • Remove MFN (Most Favored Nation) status for Pakistan.
  • In pakistan, their army runs a state within state. but for india we should deal with civilian govt. and they have to take blame for this. Responsibility has to be set, civilian govt. has to take the brunt for the same.

I know all these measures will not deter pakistan to do the same thing again. but we should not forget that pakistani economoy is an agriculture economy, and water for that agriculture flows from indian territory. India has meticulously honoured Indus Water Treaty for last 5 decades, but we're not obliged to do that. To make a country like pakistan understand the consequences of their actions, we need to talk in the language they understand best. I would suggest, India should seriously think about cutting water supply of the whole country, to make them understand how serious we're this time. It might result in open war, but isn't it good to die once in for all, rather than dying a little bit everyday?

pakistan thinks that by achieving a nuclear bomb, they have achieved parity with india. having a bomb doesn't mean you can use it too? and if they plan to use it, looking at the size of the country like india, we will dust it off and rise again. but for them, there will be no more pakistan left on world map. we might have a great Indus lake in that region.

But how will this all happen? It can only happen when country's political leadership has a will do to this. Someone needs to have balls to do that. Current leadership has gifted theirs to Italian master. Till the time we have likes of  'Maun' Mohan Singh and Salman Khurshid (who will give their life for Sonia 'Jahangir' Gandhi), India's future is dim. Hence, my reason of venting it here, because otherwise i would have been writing about how India broke Pakistan's jaw after this incident.
